Hi Ed's and reds, regarding this whole Besiktas interested in Benteke on loan with a view to buy him I say off! If Besiktas can't afford him now (which they can't) - then it's pretty obvious what will happen. He'll just end up back with us next year. They have absolutely no chance of raising the money to buy Benteke this summer or next.

Banter please eds. with us securing Solanke and Salah so far, I for one would wholeheartedly love to bring in our two other main targets which from what I can see and hear are Mendy and VVD still.
That would bring our spending to about £150m on 4 players.
I for one say to that, excellent! Quality over quantity. About time.
Don't get me wrong we would all love Keita, Auba and Mbappe and all these other great players but I don't see us getting any of them and in all honesty, we need Mendy and VVD more.

Proper clear out at our full back positions this summer is on the cards.
Looking for exits for Conor Randall, Moreno, Flanagan and Wisdom who is already gone.
None of these players are good enough.

Eds banter please. Is anyone else getting the feeling that we will NOT sign ANY of the players we've been heavily linked with. I. e. VVD, Mendy, Sessegnon, Brandt, Keita, Ox, etc
That's 6 of the most heavily linked players and we won't end up with 1 of them. Just a feeling, not a fact.
I do see us signing Salah however on a side note.

Salah all but done. Minor things wrapped up over the weekend. Would take a random event for us not to sign him now. Will be announced early next week.
Early 30m's. interesting business that was unseen from left field about a week ago.
That's a good sign in my eyes. Close nit group.
