Just a thought. If we don't get a centre back this window, is it possible lovran can push on. He had some good performances last season. Could it be like when Lucas failed to settle quickly?

Probably on my own here, but I think if he kicked in to gear then the partnership with him and matip could be quite potent.

Who's to say if we got vvd that he would settle right away?

With regard to the origi vs Mr glass debate.
I think Sturridge is world class talent. Those who want to throw him on the rubbish I feel are being harsh.
Anyway my point is. If we can maintain some sort of fitness from him, is he not the ideal player for origi to learn off?
With ings and Bobby able to play up front, a full pre season could put us on a great footing for next year. With all the competitions we have to play.
Would I love a big name striker to come in?
Yes, but the way we play doesn't necessarily need it because when we occupy the opposition's box then statistically speaking anyone can manage to toe poke a ball home.
It's Daniels movement that helps, his classy finishing is just a bonus.
Which origi and ings have to some degree in my opinion. So if origi turns into the love child of Bobby, studge and ings in a year. Then we will have some striker on our books. As he's talented already
Big if is the Sturridge injury issue. But I personally think we would be mental to let him go.
So I support him and for his sake hope he can stay fit.

A my ten pence post.
We should keep karius in goal and give him the space he needs to grow. Unless we buy curtois or similar then we got a cheap keeper with huge potential that needs time, and fan understanding.

Also I'm petrified that we sell sturridge, he is absolutely world class. No one knows what's going on with injuries and yes I'm frustrated with it, but he's 27, if, granted a big if, we could get 2or 3 years out of him, relatively injury free, then he's worth 100 million in my book. The guy can finish.

Would we be so angry if suarez or Gerrard was injured? It's not his fault.
I say we have paid enough wages that whatever happens now is irrelevant. Keep praying them, because 20 million if we could get that is simply not enough.
