Hey everyone,

I don't post much but just wanted to say my bit I guess. for what it's worth.

I like a lot of us had the initial - for god's sake not again feeling last night and got incredibly frustrated, but then I realised something that I think we all need to take on board.

This is and never was going to be an overnight fix, and the mere fact we did not panic buy in January for makes this the most successful transfer window since signing Suarez.

Klopp has passion and the right attributes, but needs time to install his philosophies and get through to the players etc, as well as bringing on board his own players. I believe he will be given this time and it will work out, but we all just need to be patient, and channel our energy and frustrations into supporting the team - so they know we have their backs etc.

For me the best example of what I am trying to say is Spurs. For the last season or 2 they looked like they had really slipped, bought a load of dross after the Bale signing (they did buy some) and slipped by the wayside. Then they got Pochettino who at first did not seem to get it quite right (i. e. their results improved a bit but they still struggled and were not a major threat to anyone) . However now he has had time, and a close season to infill his training and philosophies look at how they are performing, and how strong they are as a unit.

I am not here to go on too much about Spurs, but more to use them as an example of what can happen to our team (and of course with Klopp I believe we will end up far stronger) if we all just give the club a bit more trust and patience.

This of course only applies to those fans who are already calling for heads to roll and slating all players each week - I know there are plenty of fans that know we need to be patient etc.

Over and out - rant over.

Hoping not to open a can of worms here, but what are people's thoughts on signing Eric Dier of Spurs?

Seems to be a little out of favour under Ange (available), and can cover CB and CDM if called upon?

Just a thought, although not a name I have seen linked.

Right for me we shouldn't be looking for blame and slagging off every player that makes a wrong decision every game - that is not what a supporter does.

I thought it was a good game, and bottom line (in my opinion of course) :

We played well, were the better team
Created better chances
Lovren and Matip had a great game at the back
Mane outstanding

This is truly something to build on. If we play like that every week and consistently get sharper on shots etc we will have a good season.

For once I would like to see less negative critics, and just a simple well done lads, 100% effort put in and good display - proud of the desire shown.

As I say just my opinion but it's sad to see some just slagging players off instead of supporting the team.

Probably off the mark but was wondering if there was any chance that Klopp is maybe thinking about changing formation to 3-5-2 or a like based on this GW talk and the new defender coming in.

That could mean moreno and clyne as full backs, can, kendo and GW in the middle with Coutinho on the left, man on the right and sturridge up top with Firmino supporting?

Just thought I would through this potential theory out there in case anyone else found it interesting - I personally would at least be interested to see how perhaps a 3-5-2 could work, although fear it would expose likes of Moreno defensively even more!

Just wondering (assuming it goes through) how come Mainz are happy selling their first team goalkeeper for a reported £4.7 million?

Is the reported figure wrong, or are they desperate for money, or is his contract running out?

Not complaining at all of course, but just wondering why they would let him go relatively cheaply?

Good for us though :)

Fantastic result last night - really looking like a team once again.

I know we have all been frustrated over the last few years with players etc, but for me they are now looking like playing as a team. For instance look at the drastic improvement of Sakho and Lovren as a partnership. Some were saying replace them replace them, but I think Klopp has really shown that we have good players already and just need to develop/ coach them in a new way. I also think a lot of their improvement has come from improvements in midfield as well - not leaving them super exposed anymore as they perhaps were a bit before when we were sometimes gung ho. Confidence seems to be back!

Also I think some of us (and only some) need to stop just judging our players either on clean sheets, goals or assists. I know these are very important of course but players such as Hendo, and Lallana, milner recently are doing a hell of a lot of hard work that goes unnoticed at times. Lallana for example I know has areas to improve but last night his skill was impressive, but the guy is always applying pressure, making runs and creating some space for other players as well as winning the ball back which is crucial. I sometimes wish they had a stat for the tackle and pass to the man who then goes on to claim the assist - Modric for example used to be great at this at spurs. His assist numbers weren't always massive (they weren't bad of course) but often he was the one who won the ball back, passed to someone in space who then created the end chance and that is just as important. We have players doing this now and they should also get the plaudits. As I say it is only some that are not noticing them, not everyone of course.

Of course we could improve some areas in the summer, but my genuine fear is that these reports of £100 million plus are true and we just simply go out and buy 6 new players again (thats if we can trim the squad down first of course. For me we have shown recently that a lot of the players can thrive in this new system and just need our support and a run of games, combined with the youngsters we have coming through (Stewart, Ojo etc) and Ings and Gomez back from injury.

Can't believe I am praising them but let's learn from Spurs - once Pochettino had a year with his squad and they stopped buying loads they have now become a team unit and proved what patience and team cohesion can attain. let's just hope the habit of trying to buy short term fixes stops somewhat and we trust in what we have. I am delighted that it certainly seems that ay, and credit should go to Klopp for not panic buying in January!

Really proud of the team!
