Should we miss out despite amassing 97 points we cannot be anything but proud of the efforts of the team. To put it into context we actually will have bettered City's results against the 18 other teams in the league but effectively lost out in a head to head battle with City. A 2-1 aggregate loss may be the difference. If it comes down to that we just have to hold our hands up and accept they deserved it.
Saying all that here's to a 1-1 draw with Brighton last game and the Ox fires a last minute winner against Wolves!
Cheers.

It made me laugh to read how after listening to the player's testimony the dubious goals panel decided to award Harry Kane 'his goal'. I can just picture Harry stood in front of the independent panel he chose (mum, dad and his Nan) looking slightly nervous, borderline ashamed like he is about to be told off. Dad turns to Harry and says "son we need you to tell the truth, that's what we brought you up to do. Did you honestly touch the ball? " Harry immediately springs on the defensive like any 10 year old would do.
His voice slightly wavering and crossing his fingers behind his back whilst bowing his head replied "of course dad definitely touched it you know I wouldn't lie! That's how you brought me up, to tell the truth. " Dad smiled and thought, that's my boy of course you touched it. You can have the goal, well done. As easy as that.
Cheers.

If we are to sign a left sided CB/ LB like van de ven, it could certainly point toward the more hybrid Trent role as he would be well suited dropping into the back three. If that meant competition for robbo on that side, do people think we would still need another CB if matip and Phillips were to go? Especially given the injury records of konate and Gomez.
Cheers.

With all the discussions of needing 2 or 3 midfielders, it made me realise that the rebuilding job in midfield is not just for this season but next as well. It’s conceivable that 2 if not all 3 of thiago, Fabinho and henderson could go next season. Could that be the consideration for bringing an extra body in now? I appreciate we don’t have the resources of city where they can buy the replacement for a player whilst said player remains at the club for another year or two. However, with europa league this season and still retaining injury prone players, if three were brought in they would still get plenty of game time and be better placed for replacing outgoing players next season.
Cheers.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Keita for his “efforts” last night. Myself, being an overweight, 41 year-old bang average footballer, he genuinely gave me hope I could play at the top level.

My worry for us at the moment is how weak we have become mentally. Numerous times this season, we concede and then collapse. A couple of recent 0-3 results spring to mind.
Last night, their keeper makes a massive cock up but his team don’t hit the panic button and keep playing their football. Our keeper cocks up, heads drop, players play like the game is already lost and show little to no fight. Lack of leadership also troubling.
Cheers.

Can’t believe after last night’s result, top four is in our own hands. Can we win 4 more on the bounce? Need to find that clinical edge again
Cheers.
